Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 and as for thy Lord's blessing, declare it. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
