Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
