Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And verily thy Lord will give unto thee so that thou wilt be content. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and protect (thee)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
