The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the midday brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee, 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
