The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan, and shelter thee? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa). Sent down in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
