Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world). 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
