Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Have We not expanded thee thy breast?- 1 And We have taken off from thee thy burthen, 2 that weighed down your back? 3 And did We not exalt your fame? 4 So indeed with hardship is ease. 5 With hardship indeed there is ease. 6 Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard, 7 And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
