Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 and relieve you of the burden 2 Which pressed heavily upon your back, 3 And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)? 4 So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief: 5 Indeed with hardship is ease. 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. 8
