Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Have We not expanded for you your breast, 1 And relieve you of the burden – 2 Which had weighed upon your back 3 Did We not exalt thy fame? 4 Indeed, hardship is followed by ease, 5 Lo! with hardship goeth ease; 6 Then when thou becometh relieved, toil; 7 And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
