Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Have We not caused thy bosom to dilate, 1 and lift from thee thy burden, 2 which had been a heavy weight upon your back 3 Did We not exalt thy fame? 4 Surely with difficulty is ease. 5 With hardship indeed there is ease. 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
