The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 [the while] We shall summon the forces of heavenly chastisement! 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
