The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
