The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We will now call the guards! 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
