The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Do you think he is rightly guided, 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
