In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 created the human from a (blood) clot. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Hath taught man that which he knew not. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
