The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
