Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinful forehead. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
