The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
