The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who teacheth by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 A lying, sinful forelock! 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
