The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read in the name of your Lord Who created. 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 A slave (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
