In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Verily unto thy Lord is the return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 By the lying, the sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
