The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 a servant (of Allah) when he prays? 10 What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided 11 and enjoins piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Let him call on his associates for help 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 No indeed; do thou not obey him, and bow thyself, and draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
