The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay! man is most surely inordinate, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Nay, if he desist not, We shall most surely drag him down upon his forehead 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
