The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord who created - 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite thou: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents, 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
