In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoins Righteousness? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah). ۩ 19
