The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Recite: And thy Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yet man behaves arrogantly, 6 that he sees himself sufficed. 7 However, (all things) will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; surely, if he gives not over, We shall seize him by the forelock, 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
