In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 for, behold, unto thy Sustainer all must return. 8 What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance, 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 And yet indeed if he does not desist We shall drag him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
