The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids – 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Did he not realise that Allah is watching? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We will call the guards of Hell (to deal with him)! 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
