The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 And yet, but yet man is rebellious, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 and enjoins piety? 12 Have you seen if he denies and turns away - 13 Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 A forelock that lies, is sinful. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
