The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
