The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). 1 Created man from a clinging substance. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 who, by the pen, taught the human being: 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Bethinkest thou him who forbiddeth, 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or enjoineth piety? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then let him summon his council, 17 We will call the angels of Hell. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
