The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 The One Who taught to write with the pen. 4 The One Who taught man all what he did not know. 5 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel 6 As he bethinkest himself selfsufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A bondman when he offers the prayer? 10 Have you seen if he is upon guidance 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
