In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Createth man from a clot. 2 Read - for thy Sustainer is the Most Bountiful One 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 because he thinks that he is independent. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 What thinkest thou? If he were upon guidance 11 or orders piety? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
