Destiny (Al-Qadr)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is, that Night of Destiny? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 In it descend the angels and Jibreel, by the command of their Lord – for all works. 4 Peace it is, till the break of dawn. 5
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
