Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
We have indeed sent down the Qur’an in the Night of Destiny. 1 Would that you knew what the Night of Destiny is! 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in it the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend by the permission of their Lord upon every command. 4 This Night is all peace until the break of dawn. 5
