Destiny (Al-Qadr)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
We sent it [Quran] down on the Night of Destiny. 1 And what do you know what the Night of Power is? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in it the angels and the Spirit descend, by the leave of their Lord, upon every command. 4 It is peace till the dawning of the day. 5
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
