Destiny (Al-Qadr)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Behold, We revealed this (Qur'an) on the Night of Power. 1 Would that you knew what the Night of Destiny is! 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 In it descend the angels and Jibreel, by the command of their Lord – for all works. 4 Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
