Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence - 1 A messenger from Allah, reading purified pages 2 In which are written proper affairs. 3 Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. 4 And withal, they were not enjoined aught but that they should worship God, sincere in their faith in Him alone, turning away from all that is false; and that they should be constant in prayer; and that they should spend in charity: for this is a moral law endowed with ever-true soundness and clarity. 5 The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans will dwell forever in hell; they are the worst of all creatures. 6 (And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. 7 Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for him who fears his Lord. 8
