Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans disbelieved (in Islam) only after receiving divine testimony: 1 a Messenger from Allah, reciting from Purified Scrolls; 2 in writings wherein are scriptures, absolutely true and unerring. 3 Those to whom the Book was given did not divide themselves until the Clear Proof came to them. 4 They were commanded only to worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, to be sincere in their faith, to pray regularly; and to give alms, for that is the right religion. 5 Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. 6 But those who believe and do the right are surely the best of created beings, 7 Their reward with Allah will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord. 8
