Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: 2 Wherein are laws (or decrees) right and straight. 3 Nor did those to whom the Book had been given split up until after the Proof (of the Right Way) had come to them. 4 They were commanded only to worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, to be sincere in their faith, to pray regularly; and to give alms, for that is the right religion. 5 Indeed all disbelievers, the People of the Book(s) and the polytheists, are in the fire of hell – they will remain in it for ever; it is they who are the worst among the creation. 6 But those that believe and work righteous deeds, they are the best of creatures. 7 God has a reward in store for them: Gardens of eternity, through which rivers flow; they will dwell therein forever. God is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him. Thus shall the God-fearing be rewarded. 8
