Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters could not have left off (erring) till the clear proof came unto them, 1 a Messenger (Muhammad) from God, reciting to them parts of the purified, 2 in which there are valuable Books. 3 Nor did the People of the Book disagreed among themselves until after receiving the ancient divine testaments. 4 They were commanded only to serve God with all-exclusive faith in Him, to be upright, and to fulfil their devotional obligations, and to give zakat; for this is the even way. 5 The disbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans will dwell forever in hell; they are the worst of all creatures. 6 Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures. 7 Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow, wherein they dwell for ever. Allah hath pleasure in them and they have pleasure in Him. This is (in store) for him who feareth his Lord. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: Proof (Al-Bayyinah). Sent down in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)
