The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, 1 and when the earth brings forth its burdens 2 And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" - 3 On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then, 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8
