The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof, 1 when the earth shakes off her burdens, 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 upon that day she shall tell her tidings 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
