The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and it throws out its burden, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
