The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its mighty shaking, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens, 2 the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?" 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it; 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8
