The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking 1 And the earth throws out its burdens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 on that Day will she recount all her tidings, 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
