Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its mighty shaking, 1 and it throws out its burden, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
