The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 On that day earth will narrate its news, 4 For your Lord will have commanded it. 5 On that day, people will come out of their graves in different groups to see (the results of) their own deeds. 6 So whoever does a good deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 7 And whosoever has done even an atom's weight of evil will behold that. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
