The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth throws out its burdens, 2 when man asks, "What is happening to her?"; 3 That Day, it will report its news 4 Because your Lord had inspired her. 5 That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. 6 And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good, shall behold it; 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
