The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 Because your Lord has commanded it. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8
